How To Easily Know When My Blog is Updated

November 26th, 2008

About RSS Readers:

I’ve found a RSS reader that really works well and is easy to use. Google RSS Reader not only auto-updates, but it offers suggestions for new blogs based on key-word analysis of those you already read. To use this service, all you need is a Google account (those who use Gmail are already set to begin.) You enter in the URL to the blog or the blog’s RSS feed and voilĂ !

If you’re not interested in a Google account, I’m sure there are some of my readers who would be happy to share about their RSS readers.

About My RSS Feeds:

If you’d like to know when I update my blog or when comments are left on my posts, you can add the following feeds to your RSS reader:

My blog feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/ladyjuliasentrancedrealm/

My comments feed http://ladyjulia.net/myblog/comments/feed/

About Quoting My Writing:

Anyone who wishes to do so is welcome to quote anything I’ve written but please list me as the author and provide a link to my blog. Every now and then I notice quotes of my words attributed to “a Domme whose blog I read” or something to that effect. That’s not ok.

I will of course return the courtesy should I quote your words.

    Hello Lady Julia,

    I am sorry,
I think I have quoted Lady Julia as an “online friend,”
without linking back, so in future I will be more careful!

Do you specifically want us to use an RSS feed?
as part of your online management system,
and do we get “frequent reader pionts?” :)

  2. Lady Julia says:

No worries Nigel – I didn’t even realize you did that. You get a special pass because I like you a lot ;)

No, you do not have to use a RSS feed. I have no way of knowing who does or doesn’t and don’t care anyway :) It’s just easier to manage if you read a lot of blogs because that way you don’t have to keep checking for an update.

You already have tons of frequent reader points. I’m trying to think of a good prize even as I write this ;)

    Did someone say prizes?

I’m a Mac user. I use News Fire.

    Hi Free Thinking Writer,

Never heard of News Fire till now. Thanks. I use Macs, too.
