If I am in an airplane I don’t care what the pilot’s sex/race/creed/socio-economic status/politics are. I just want to know if s/he can fly the dam plane.

I know one thing: My Mistress is damned smart (maybe even smarter than I am at some things) and that I choose to kneel at her feet and take orders from her and put my efforts and my talents to her use. This completely side steps a lot of problems that a lot of vanilla couples seem to have.

In my opinion, mutual challenge, inspiration and extraordinary accomplishments are unrelated to gender, and are a result of human teamwork. It seems obvious to me that collaborative human efforts can achieve some exceptional results which can be greater than the sum of the parts, and that gender combinations, sexual orientation, and relationship status have nothing to do with that.

In my opinion, your analysis excludes any single-gender group comprised of more than one woman or man, trans-gender, or queer people, and any groups of people accomplishing things whilst in any kind of relationship other than a sexual one. Essentially, I cannot accept your analysis because it limits the possibility of mutual challenge, inspiration, and extraordinary achievement, solely to those who are comfortable with heterosexual monogamy, and to those who limit their efforts to accomplish things solely within a heterosexual relationship.

Also, I may certainly be able to achieve more as part of a team, and I may or may not be happier being in a sexual relationship than without one, but honestly, I really don’t need a man to complete me in any way. I really seriously don’t need a man to make me “whole” or any such thing. I am a complete individual already all by myself, thank you very much.

I think that romanticising and idealising the sexual relationships which you personally would like to have is a nice idea. However, please remember that your romanticised ideals of what relationships are and can achieve are your personal romanticised ideals, and therefore are unlikely to work for everybody.

Now, how I TREAT a woman is a totally different matter. I’m old fashioned, and also submissive. That inclines me to wish to treat a woman like a Lady, and to defer to her wishes. I don’t do so because I believe she’s superior. I do so because I wish to treat her that way. It’s a choice, and a gift from me. Not an entitlement.

That is not a feminist analysis, but it is certainly not a misogynistic one, either.

But women are superior to men.

If the world had only men in it, we would live in a state of constant warfare. If the world had only women in it, everyone would live in grass huts. Each of us makes the other far more than we would be alone.
