Online Dominance and Submission

January 5th, 2010

I often receive emails from people expressing a desire to “serve” me via online interaction only. Is this an offer you would ever extend to someone? If so, when you offered to serve, how would you envision that scenario unfolding? What would you be willing to do to serve her? What would you expect in return for your service?

There are no wrong answers as I’m simply asking for your opinion. I hope a number of you will respond even if you see answers that differ greatly from yours.

(No, I’m not looking for anyone to serve me – I just thought this would make an interesting topic for discussion.)

William used to write some excellent poetry as service (?) or was Lady Julia his muse? (smiles).

I think sharing on-line is fine especially for people who live in remote localities or who are seperated because of work commitments. But to serve over the internet? That means its only virtual and not real. If I ever get the chance to serve, it will be real, in my face, full-on, 100% commitment and in-person love. All or nothing for me.

Like everything else, it depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it. The issue is whether or not both parties are equally into the “relationship” The quasi-anonymous nature of an online relationship can make it easier for you to say and do things you might not ordinarily do, but it also makes it easier to break off relations if you change your mind.
If I reveal here any details of my online submissive activities is that not also a form of submission?

There are many people who have very real relationships online. They are different than face-to-face relationships but they are valuable to the people who engage in them.

Years ago people engaged in courtship via written letters that took days or even weeks to receive. Today people have instant contact via email, text, and the telephone. Sometimes people who do not know each other face-to-face actually know each other better because their time is spent talking and not eating, watching tv or movies, so on.

i would do anything You asked and would not expect anything in return as it is not my place to expect anything only to accept what You want to do.

  6. Mike says:

I agree with Jack. You have done enough. I don’t expect anything in return.

Online D/s is pretty lame. It only appeals to people who can’t get anyone to Domme them in real life.

Serving you would be a wonderful honor. You do so much for so many people that anything I could do to help make you happy I would do. In return I would expect that you tell me what you need if what I am doing isn’t enough.

I can imagine receiving an email every day where you tell me what you need accomplished for the day. I would also take the initiative to make sure I left comments on your blogs and participated in your experiences. I would respond to any of your questions that you pose if I had an relevant information to add. I would try to find photos for you to use on your blog. I haven’t been very good at doing these things that require initiative but I will try to do better.
