In spite of good chicken soup, chocolates, an online shopping spree, and a bit more pampering, I’m still not feeling well. There are loads of things I need to do, but I’m sure everything will wait til tomorrow, though. Right now I’m about to slip between the sheets and see how quickly I can fall asleep.
I did want to ask a question before I go. I’ve read quite a bit about service-only submissives, but to my knowledge I’ve only met one. Are any of you the sort of submissive who derives pleasure simply from doing things for the Domme with nothing but a “thank you, I’m pleased” in return? To me “Service Only Submissive” fits perfectly with my aspirations to be a good human, (not that I succeed nearly as often as I would like). When trying to do anything for anybody, (not limited to typical submissiveness as in D/s), I feel it is best done if there is no expectation of anything in return. This is tough because I am aware that thanks is a possibility, and of course I enjoy hearing it. Still, I try not to dwell on that and just concentrate on what needs to be done. Believe me, I am no saint, and these aspirations of unselfish generosity are not often met with success. As I said, they are aspirations.
The best, most heartfelt gift, is the one given in total anonymity.
Please take all the time you need to get well. I just looked in the D/s Encyclopedia and it says there quite clearly that Dommes are supposed to lounge and be pampered.
