I wanted to take a moment to remember all those who paid the ultimate price to serve our country. Regardless of our feelings about war, hopefully we all respect the heroic bravery of our soldiers.
For those of you who served or are serving, thank you. I’m convinced those are two words you can never hear enough. May you all be truly blessed.

Lady Julia,
Your Heart is compassionate, and your Soul serene.
Respectfully,

Thank you. I am so appreciative of all you and other soldiers have done.
Lady Julia,
I hope that you are not trying to be politically correct. In the USA, the holiday is called Memorial Day.
I live in the US so I am aware of what the holiday is currently called.
My choice to refer to it as Decoration Day had nothing to do with political correctness. When you say “Memorial Day” many people now think of summer and picnics and opening the pool. As I’ve gotten older, and most especially as this is the first Memorial Day since my father died, it’s become important to me that I remember that the holiday was established to remember those people who died fighting for their country.
I spent most of the day with my mother, Bill and Graham visiting cemeteries. We visited and put flowers on my father’s gave, my grandparents’ graves, my aunt’s grave, my cousin’s grave, Bill’s parents’ graves and Graham’s parents’ graves. Trust me, by the time we finished, I most definitely understood why it was called both Decoration Day and Memorial Day.
