A couple of years ago an interesting meme made the rounds in blog land. Since I have so many new readers and as I’m always very pleased to learn about those who have been around for awhile, I thought I’d resurrect it.
Here’s how it works:
* Leave a comment for me saying, “Interview me.”
* I will respond by asking you five personal questions, which I will leave for you in my Comments section.
* If I don’t know you that well, the questions will probably be easy and fun.
* If I think I know you pretty well, then expect the questions to be a little more personal but still not toooo personal.
* To answer them, you must repost the questions along with your answers in your journal/blog. If you don’t have a journal/blog then you may answer the questions here in my comments section.
* Then if you do have a blog, make sure to include this explanation of how it works, and offer to interview anyone else who asks.
Lastly, if you’d like to interview me feel free to do so by posting the questions in the comment section of my blog or on your blog if you have one.

Lady Julia please may I interview you?
1. What are you reading at the moment?
2. Will President Obama be a polarising figure or a unifying leader?
3. If there is one thing you would like to improve in males as a race, What would it be?
4. In your opinion, What is the No. 1 environmental issue in your state?
If it is ok I would like to interview you Lady Julia.
Do you consider yourself a happy person?
Would you ever consider dating a dominant man?
Do you see women as superior to men? If you don’t do you consider yourself superior to the men you date?
Would you ever place a personals ad? Would you ever respond to one?
Sounds fun:)
I think:)
Interview me.
I’m game — interview me.

… and here are my interview questions for you, Lady Julia. Please accept my apologies in advance if they are too intrusive. (You can return the favor by asking me questions like, “Have you always been this nosy?”) I only have four, but they’re kind of long.
1. If I understand properly, you work as a nurse. Nursing would seem to attract people who are caregiver types (although I know that not everyone who becomes a nurse fits that profile.) Would you say that the desire to nurture and care for others makes up at least part of your nature?
2 If you answered “yes” to question 1, then how does this aspect of your character play itself out in your Domme lifestyle? Did it influence your choice to adopt that lifestyle?
3. It strikes me as an outside observer that a D/s relationship depends heavily on the playing of stylized roles, and that these roles dominate the relationship. Is this an accurate observation?
4. If you answered “yes” to question 3, then: Is it possible for each party in a D/s relationship to truly, deeply know the other person beyond the role they play? (I acknowledge that the role itself may reflect something deep about the person who plays it, but assume that it does not encompass the whole of their being.) If so, how does that work itself out?
Best,
Felix
Interesting.
Interview Me :-)

I’m thinking of questions and responses so I’ll have them all ready tomorrow :)
Dear Lady Julia,
If I may have the distinct privilege or interviewing you, here are my three questions:
1. What sexual prank would you be most likely to play upon a deserving stranger?
2. If you could pretend for a day to be someone else so convincingly no one would know it was you, who would you be?
3. What never fails to make you laugh?
I am at your disposal should you care to interview me.
Arafin
I’ll have to do these a bit at a time, so if I haven’t posted your questions or responded to yours, check back later as I will!
Ms Susan – so lovely of you to offer. Your questions:
I’m sure you know the first question on my mind (and on the mind of many others). If you’d rather not answer this one or any of the others, I certainly understand and won’t be offended. Ok – so my first question for you is – do you think you might ever resume blogging?
2. If you could wave a magic wand and poof! – for one day be a man. Would you? If so, what do you think you might learn?
3. If you could be in a position of influence over a group of people, what group would you want to influence and how would you wish to influence them?
4. If you could create a paradise that you (and Ty) could escape to from time to time, what would it be like?
5. If you could have dinner with anyone, who would you choose and why?
Felix,
If I get too personal with the questions please say :)
1. Since I don’t really know anything about you, if you were to sit down to talk with me, what three things would you consider important to initially tell me about yourself?
2. If you were given $50,000 and told you must spend it on yourself, how would you spend it?
3. If you were a super-hero, what super-powers would you wish to possess?
4. Do you have an interest in hypnosis? If so, how and when to you come to be interested?
5. If you could undo one event in history, would you and if so, what would it be?
Black Widow,
Thank you for volunteering.
1. If you were not a Black Widow, with what other creature might you identify?
2. If you could possess the ability to make people tell you the absolute truth, would you use it?
3. You have a free evening – no responsibilities, no time constraints, no money constraints. How would you spend it?
4. Have you always known you were dominant? If not, when and how did you come to the realization that you were?
5. If you could have a harem full of men, would you – knowing that with great power comes great responsibility? :)
Arafin,
Let’s see, my friend…
1. If you had the opportunity to be a woman for a period of time, what things would you *not* want to experience?
2. If you were writing the great American novel, what would be your basic premise?
3. You’ve been given a magic ticket that allows you to visit two events in history. Your visit will not impact these events – it will strictly be an opportunity for you to observe. What two events would you choose?
4. If you could play the leading man role in any movie that’s been filmed, which movie would it be?
5. If you could spend the evening talking with either Audrey Hepburn, Lisa Gerrard, or me, who would you choose? ;) Just teasing… your fifth question is: If you could hypnotize any three people you choose, who would it be and why?
1. If you were not a Black Widow, with what other creature might you identify?
………a panda. I love panda’s and collect as many “panda things” as I can :-)
2. If you could possess the ability to make people tell you the absolute truth, would you use it?
………if I had it as a “selective” ability then yes……….I would not want every single person I interact with to always tell Me the absolute truth but there are times when I think I would think it could be a useful tool and I would like to use it “from time to time”.
3. You have a free evening – no responsibilities, no time constraints, no money constraints. How would you spend it?
…..I would spend it in a pen full of baby pandas playing with them :-)
4. Have you always known you were dominant? If not, when and how did you come to the realization that you were?
………..until I “found out about” the D/s world I would never have used the term “Dominant or submissive” I just knew that I generally take the lead in most things and on the whole like to get My own way…….so I always knew I was Dominant even if I would not (at the time) have used that word for it.
5. If you could have a harem full of men, would you – knowing that with great power comes great responsibility? :)
………….oh yeah ;-) I can handle them…….I’d just make sure I didnt have too many…….I’d need to make sure I can take care of each of them and tooooooooooo many might mean that some got neglected. Probably start with one for each day of the week and then see how it went from there……

Dear Lady Julia,
It seems my ability to count has somehow been diminished. Instead of asking you five questions I asked you only three. If I may add two more questions at this point, they would be:
If you were going to be stuck in a life raft for days with someone, who would you choose for company? (The boat only holds six, but does not have to include that many.)
If you were magically given a hotel of any size, design, and location you wished, what would it be like and to what types of guests would you cater?
Arafin
Dear Lady Julia,
My answers to your interview questions can be found HERE

OK, here goes:
1. Since I don’t really know anything about you, if you were to sit down to talk with me, what three things would you consider important to initially tell me about yourself?
* I would rather listen to you (or anyone else) talk about yourself than talk about myself. Talking about myself reminds me of those scenes in the CSI shows where the characters explain to each other the simplest details of jobs they’ve had for years, so the members of the TV audience can figure out what they are doing. I already know what it’s like to be me — I’d rather learn what it’s like to be you.
* I am deeply skeptical about the human race, but I am endlessly fascinated by individual human beings. I am completely open-eyed about the evil that people do, which makes me love all the more the goodness I often discover in such imperfect beings.
* I love to teach, and to learn. If you want to get me talking, ask me to help you learn something. I would rather lose an argument than win it, because if you can best me I will have learned something new.
2. If you were given $50,000 and told you must spend it on yourself, how would you spend it?
* A faster, more up-to-date computer, with a bigger screen. I’m really tired of having to reach over and turn the crank a few times every time the screen on this one starts to dim.
* A trip to somewhere (or several somewheres) beautiful and amazing
* Something beautiful to look at — a painting, a sculpture, a photograph, or a lovely garden
* A class, seminar, or workshop where I can hone my skills or learn something new.
3. If you were a super-hero, what super-powers would you wish to possess?
* Flight
* Teleportation (would render flight superfluous, but I would fly for the sheer thrill of it, or for sightseeing)
* Telekinesis
* Perfect health/rapid healing/immortality
* A great body, so I’d look good in Spandex. (Is that a super-power?)
4. Do you have an interest in hypnosis? If so, how and when to you come to be interested?
Yes. I have been aware of and interested in it since fairly early childhood, so early that I can’t say how exactly it came to my attention. When I was young I regularly imagined scenarios of hypnosis and self-hypnosis. I tried to hypnotize someone from time to time, but lacked the basic knowledge necessary to do so successfully.
I forgot about this fascination for many years, but then I joined a relaxation program offered through my then-employer, which involved being hypnotized as part of a group. This reawakened (so to speak) my interest in the the subject, and I also found the experience very pleasurable.
I’m interested both in performing hypnosis and in being hypnotized. I don’t really have much of an opportunity to pursue the first interest, but I have had some good success going into trance with mp3s, including yours. (Thank you!) I had a problem a while back with insomnia, and have found hypnosis invaluable in dealing with that.
5. If you could undo one event in history, would you and if so, what would it be?
Yes, absolutely: the First World War. It undid a burgeoning international order, fatally undermined the confidence of the West, unleashed the twin evils of Communism and Fascism on the world, and gave birth to all the terrible conflagrations to come in the twentieth century, and perhaps in the 21st. The First World War did not bring evil into the world, but it uncorked the bottle and let the genie loose. We have never really recovered from that disaster.

Well, that was fun!
Felix,
I would rather listen to you (or anyone else) talk about yourself than talk about myself. Talking about myself reminds me of those scenes in the CSI shows where the characters explain to each other the simplest details of jobs they’ve had for years, so the members of the TV audience can figure out what they are doing.
I’ve frequently wondered if what I write bores people completely out of their minds for almost the exact same reason.
Reading your responses was very interesting, so never fear :)
I love to teach, and to learn. If you want to get me talking, ask me to help you learn something. I would rather lose an argument than win it, because if you can best me I will have learned something new.
If I wanted you to teach me something, what would you be willing to teach?
I feel the same way about losing an argument.
A great body, so I’d look good in Spandex. (Is that a super-power?)
Smiles. I’d say looking good in Spandex was indeed a super power. Very few people look good in it.
I had a problem a while back with insomnia, and have found hypnosis invaluable in dealing with that.
I can really identify with that. It’s good to know you’re doing better :)
Thank you for responding. I’ve enjoyed getting to know a little about you.
Lady Julia,
Please check your email for a reply to your “extra credit” question.
Best,
Felix
Ms Susan – so lovely of you to offer. Your questions:
I’m sure you know the first question on my mind (and on the mind of many others). If you’d rather not answer this one or any of the others, I certainly understand and won’t be offended. Ok – so my first question for you is – do you think you might ever resume blogging?
I think so. I actually set up a blog a few weeks ago. I called it The Sensual Mist which I thought would a delicate, sexy and somewhat mysterious name. I then found out that Sensual Mist is actually a personal lubricant product.
Not kidding.
I’ve always found the internet a bit scary. I really admire people who share their lives in a blog and I do think I’ll be writing some erotica soon. Watch for it at Summer’s Eve. blogspot.com.
2. If you could wave a magic wand and poof! – for one day be a man. Would you? If so, what do you think you might learn?
I’d kick Agotaras’s ass.
Just want to see if anyone’s reading this:)
I would be a man for a day. Hopefully I’d be a rather good looking man because I’d definitely want to have sex and since I’d only have one day, I really couldn’t count on my personality eventually winning her over.
I think I’d learn that being a guy is not an easy gig. And hopefully what it’s like to have sex as a guy.
3. If you could be in a position of influence over a group of people, what group would you want to influence and how would you wish to influence them?
The American public in general. Stop celebrating the great man and start celebrating the good man.
Man = person.
We worship the trinity of fame, wealth and power. The average garbage man, caregiver, policeman etc. does more for society in one day than Paris Hilton does in a month, but it’s not really celebrated in this country. As a result some feel they don’t have a life well lived or that they have value. It’s really the small kindnesses and everyday acts of heroism that make our lives special.
4. If you could create a paradise that you (and Ty) could escape to from time to time, what would it be like?
I guess I should say a deserted island but after watching Castaway; Not so much.
I’d really like a chateau in the Alps. I love to ski and would paint and read while my guy regained his strength after some seriously loud sex. Would need a satellite uplink so I could call my kids every other hour though.
5. If you could have dinner with anyone, who would you choose and why?
I know I should say Da Vinci or the Pope or Jon Bon Jovi, but I’m going with my husband. He’s great looking, funny and always interesting.
Susan,
I almost spewed grape Fruit 2O onto my computer screen when I read your response. I’m sure that others are reading :)
Your Sensual Mist story was so cute. I don’t know that I would have caught the similarities to a product nearly as quickly as you did. Please let us know as soon as you select a name and a URL as many of us are really looking forward to hearing more from you.
A chateau in the Alps sounds great!
Lady Julia
Ms. Susan,
I agree with Lady Julia. I hope you will begin blogging again soon because you are such a wonderful writer.
Duncan
I would love to be interviewed, if you’re still up for it :-)
Dev,
Absolutely I’m up for it :)
1. Who would be on the list of women you most admire and why?
2. Describe your “I feel great” outfit. (Every woman has one – that outfit that makes her feel uber sexy.)
3. If money, time, and physical health were such that you could do any daring activity that you chose, what three activities would you try for the first time? (You define what “daring activity” means to you.)
4. List something that really turns you on for each of your five senses.
5. If you could furnish a dungeon with anything you wish, what objects would you include?
