I’ve received a couple of questions regarding hypnosis recently via the “Click here if you would like to submit a question for Lady Julia” link in the right hand column of my blog, so I thought I would respond to them together.
“thank You for the opportunity to submit questions to You, Lady Julia! do You have available any MP3s that will help someone striving to enhance its tendencies for service to Woman? in my case, i trying to become a really good sissymaid before looking for the right Lady to marry. i very much appreciate Your time, and thank You again!”
At present I think the only MP3 that would fit your description is “Good Boy“. It is written specifically for submissive men who desire to prepare for their future Mistress. The Surrender Series may be of some help as it is designed to increase your feelings of submissiveness/obedience, however it is more about giving the listener an opportunity to feel a sense of control – just for a little while. Perhaps some of my readers who have listened to that series can better tell you if they think it would fit what you are looking for.
I’ll keep your question in mind when I plan future MP3s. Thanks for asking :)
Hi Lady Julia. A quick question on hypnosis: One problem I have with listening to hypnosis recordings (for example the excellent Relax Now) is that they work fantastically well the first time (really strongly) but gradually the effect wears off with repeated listenings. After more than five listens I find that I am almost predicting what will be said next verbatim (although the voice remains a pleasure to listen to :). Do you also have this experience, and I wonder if you know if others do too? I wonder if you might have any ideas about what to say to overcome this. Of course the simple way would be to vary what is said each time but this obviously isn’t possible with a fixed recording. I was wondering if it would be possible to construct a hypnotic script to achieve the same ‘comfortable’ feeling with a hypnotic induction, in much the same way that one can have a favourite chair or a favourite set of clothes, meal etc which relaxes because of – not in spite of – the familiarity? At the moment, the only way around this, for me at least, is to go for some length of time without listening to the same induction track, so that it is more of a surprise the next time. I would also be interested to hear your opinions on sound effects in hypnotic induction recordings. The most common ones tend to be the ‘waves lapping’ and ambient tones type of thing but some are more over-the-top: for example really cheesy reverb/echo effects and other ’spacey’ type sounds to provide ’self imprYOUvement’, as they say. Some of these really put me off but i wonder if there might be a role for (more subtle) versions of these effects? I was wondering if you have ever considered some subtle audio effects such as stereo channels, slight differences in volume, or even certain sound effects or background music? I would like to hear your opinion on this. My own preference would be just your voice (sorry, but I am a sucker for that southern belle charm), tape hiss and the odd creak of a chair, but maybe with the addition of night time outside sounds (cue the crickets…). Sorry that the short question turned out to be two longish questions! Very best wishes.
I need a little more info before I can know for sure I am answering your question completely, but I’ll do my best and if I don’t interpret accurately, you may use the same link on the right and let me know.
It all depends on how you define “work”. Are you relaxed during and when you finish listening? Is the suggestion effective that the “tattoo” will relax you when you rub your finger across it? If you are, what makes you feel it isn’t “working”? If the answer is no, then are you sure that it’s the repetition that is the cause? If you’ve been hypnotized in the past by these recordings and found them effective, my guess is the suggestions are still slipping inside your mind. Perhaps your expectations of the efficacy are coloring your evaluation? I don’t know – I’d really have to know more.
Yes, a session that suggests you find the recordings comfortable, familiar and effective would help. Again, something I will consider, especially if several people respond experiencing the same thing. I could do that in a relatively short period of time using the trigger from the Surrender series. Comments anyone?
With regard to sound effects and music in the background of a hypnosis MP3 session, I think it is a personal preference thing. From what I hear there are many recordings sold that utilize “subliminals”, music, etc. so there must be a number of people who like them. My personal preference is listening only to the voice because it sometimes feels as if the music or effects are masking the words, thus “hiding” the suggestions. My subconscious is apparently a suspicious character :) I also like voice only recordings because it feels more intimate and natural. When I do an in-person or over the phone session, there is no music. It’s just my voice whispering in the listener’s ear. When I initially decided “no” on music, etc, my theory was – why would I want a recording to be any different? :) That said, I have been thinking of adding a really, really soft music track in the background on one of my next MP3s just to see how I like it.
Thanks for the questions.

I think that collaborating with you and creating some original music according to your specs for your recordings might be fun, if something like that would interest you? I’ve been working on some audio recently, and a project like this would help me to learn my way around my software a bit better. I can send you an example of some stuff I’ve done in the last few weeks, if you’d like.
Do please let me know. :)
Lady Julia, if you are considering putting some music to your mp3’s I may be able to help. I have been creating my own music for some time now, and I have proffessional music creation tools that along with my imagination can help create the perfect sounds to go with a hypnosis recording. I could also create effects such as echo within a hypnosis recording, or create a voice over voice effect, and reduce background hiss in a recording If you are interested just email me. Time might be a bit of an issue at the moment, but I would be happy to help out in this area if you are interested. In a couple of weeks I will probably have a little more time, and I will be working on some more ambient/atmospheric type tracks that may be suitable for adding to a hypnosis recording.
I prefer your voice only for the recordings, however I think very soft music might not be too distracting. For me anything else would detract from the sound of your voice.
Lubyanka and HypnoJunkie, thank you both SO much for your offers. I’m not sure what I plan to do about adding music to the background of my MP3s, but I would very much be interested in the music you’ve created. I can add a bit to the background of one of the existing MP3s and see how well it works for me.
I will see about creating some suitable music then, this might take a few weeks as I’m a little busy at the moment. I will try and create a track around 15 minutes in length suitable for hypnosis It will probably be a bit of a challenge because I’m not used to creating tracks over 4 minutes and I don’t want it to sound to repetive, but I like a challenge.
I’m glad to know you have some interest, heh. :)
The stuff I’ve done recently probably isn’t suitable for your recordings, but I’ll send it along. :)
I would find it tremendously helpful if you would be so kind as to name a specific recording you’ve done which you’d like some music for, and if you can describe for me the kind of music you have in mind, what you’d like it to sound like, how you imagine it changing as it goes and why, and which hypnotic suggestions you’d like it to reinforce. If you would do that for me, I’d be happy to have a go. You can be as brief as you like, it’s just that the possibilities are so limitless that your specifications would help me narrow down a framework for me to work within.
So if you can do that, I’ll be delighted to set one of your existing recordings to music for you. :)
