Dan :) I'll have to watch those anyway. I've heard too much about them.

FTW - thank you. I love those old Katherine Hepburn movies too. I'll try Bedazzled. I don't mind cute and fluffy at all.

Arafin and Daniel - thank you for the suggestions. I'm surprised really that there weren't more suggestions offered. I can think of a few, but often if there is a "strong woman" featured in a movie, she's also evil or a nutcase. Think there's an intended message there?

Added this movie to my Netflix queue.

As for other choices... Almost anything with Katherine Hepburn. I just love "Bringing up Baby". It's so much fun to watch her completely manipulate Cary Grant. "The African Queen" was my mom's favorite movie.

Something kinda cute and fluffy: Bedazzled with Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley.

I would recommend Dangerous Liasons with Glenn Close and The Last Seduction with Linda Fiorentino.

The Inn of the Sixth Happiness 1958, with Ingrid Bergman is based on the true story of an Englishwoman who saves children in China during WWII from the invading Japanese. The cinematography is also marvelous.
