a crime is a crime no matter who commits it. male or female should never be used as a determining factor as to punishment. if we are to be equal –gender should never come up. if we are to be unequal– gender should be used. your call.

While there is a certain satisfation in poetic justice, I have to go along with Arafin here.

I think Lady Julia’s question about how we would feel if the situation were reversed, if four men did something like this to one of their cheating wife or girlfriend, puts it perspective.

People are always hard on men who have affairs. Maybe someone who is with several women deserves payback but there are reaons why some men have affairs that are not always unreasonable. There are reasons why some people can’t leave their spouses so does that mean they have to spend the rest of their lives not having sex? Sex is important to men and if the woman won’t have sex and she creates a situation where he can’t leave then I don’t see how he is a bastard.

I would say he deserved it. But it is probably not a good idea to get revenge in that fashion. Things like that can easily get out of hand. What if he had a gun or knife. Somebody could really have gotten hurt or killed. It is probably not over yet.

I forget who did this. But recently somebodies girlfriend paid to have a huge billboard put up in LA, New York and other cities. It was a picture of herself with the cheating husband. It was expensive. I thought it was amusing though. Hopefully it was his money.

Simple. Two wrongs do not make a right. There is civil court for adultery. The women who took the law into their own hands should have gotten stiffer sentences. Assault is assault.

When someone is caught red-handed engaging in behavior that is illegal or contrary to what should be considered a binding agreement, that person should expect to pay a price. So the question becomes: did he pay a price that is consistent with his crime?

The first part of his punishment — I don’t think I have a problem with that. The second part — well, it comes down to whether he’s guilty of anything with the young girl. If so, then he got off lightly. If not, then super glue was over the top.
