It seems as if almost every adult under 30 is sporting a tattoo. While I find some of them to be a bit much, I do respect that some are genuine works of art. I can’t imagine ever deciding I want one myself, but if I did I think I would want a small, fairly subtle ankle tattoo. Maybe of a red, red rose.
Do you consider tats sexy? Do you have one? If not, would you get one?
To be honest, I’m much more interested in this woman’s earrings. I love the dangling ones :)
(Yes, I know this is a sad excuse for a post, but I am desperately trying to get back in the swing of blogging. The ideas are just not flowing.)

Tattoos — I can take them or leave them. I’ve seen some amazing tattoos in various mass media forms (book cover, on Maggie Gyllenhaal in Stranger than Fiction, etc). I dated one woman who had a rose tattoo on her hip (in a very kissable location, I’ll add) and I know someone with a Helen Keller quotation inked on her arm.
I can’t say I’ve ever seen a tattoo in person that I thought made someone sexier. The H.K. quote makes a social statement, which makes the woman wearing it more interesting, I guess.
Earrings, though… I’ve always had a thing for women who wear shoulder dusters. Especially if she has a bare shoulder to dust with the earring. I wear a single earring myself, usually something dangling. I figure if I’m going to wear one at all, I should be bold about it. I don’t typically wear anything like what’s in the given photo, but I could see a woman I was with asking me to wear it for an evening.
I don’t like buying earrings for myself — they’re much more fun when someone gives me an earring. So any ladies who have orphan earrings that need a good home… :-)
I’m inked. Small thought because the forces of gravity are only a few years away:)
And a piercing. Hey if you’re going to be a soccer mom, at least be a badass soccer mom.
Completely understand about blogging block. I started a couple of blogs this year but nothing hit me so they died a quick death. Blogging is hard.
Heck Bitchy Jones hasn’t written anything in 3 months:)
Have a great Christmas!
I have no tattoos but I have considered getting one, though I shall not say where in polite company. I find some tattoos on some women to be extremely sexy while others actually make me feel uncomfortable just looking because they are so tasteless and extreme. I have also seen tattoos that made me laugh out loud. An enormous bare chested biker with a tattoo of Betty Boop on his stomach so that when his naval moved Betty’s mouth appeared to speak.
Whenever I think of tattoos I always remember what Johnny Depp did. When he was with Winona Ryder he got a tat that read, “Winona Forever”. After they spit up he did not want it removed completely, so he had it altered to read, “Wino Forever”.

Not to ink…
I ride a Harley and I think it would be cool to have a few Tats, however I can’t think of one I would want permanently on my body. I find very few Tats that are sexy, but when I do they are extremely sexy. For men, I like the one of the cartoon character with the lawn mower on a mans bald head, that is funny. And when the conversation comes up about me getting a Tat, I say I already have one. I have a Tattoo of a dollar bill on my dick, because I like to play with my money, I like to watch my money grow, and I wanted to see how fast my wife could blow a buck…Always good for a laugh or two.

I must say that I do find small, strategically placed tattoos quite sexy. But the earrings, even more so !
I hate tattoos.
Slightly less than piercings.
You are born with what you have and should run with it.
But I respect others choices.
I think you can do what you want with consent.

I don’t consider them to be sexy. I do consider them to be (generally) interesting. I was going to get one this summer when Mrs. Edge was away, but I couldn’t get together with the tat artist that was recommended.
Piercings are also more interesting than sexy. You may remember that I had one for a while, but things just didn’t work out. I keep trying to talk Mrs. Edge into getting a navel piercing, but she keeps saying that nobody wants to see her 50+ year old belly. Ah, well. Maybe I can talk her into an extra earring hole.
Blogging for the long haul can be hard at times, but for some reason I still have things to say. My biggest problem is that I no longer have the free time to write as much as I did.
Merry Christmas to you, too, Susan :)
Hope when you do start blogging again that you let us know. We miss you a lot.
I came searching the archives looking for a card game you had mentioned but thought I’d leave a comment on this.Oh, and celebrate the randomness :D.Anyway,I think if the tat is meaningful to the wearer and is colorful, then it is a great way for a person to express who they are.I have a few myself.I would recommend much thought though.A deep red rose on a barely exposed ankle is sexy but in an elegant way,a small one.You should!Dangle earrings are wonderful,I remember shoulder dusters.I wonder if they still sell them.Oh well, off to find a card game!
There are still shoulder dusters out there, Laura. Someone bought a pair for me recently and I love them – they’re silver and all swirly. They’re among my favorite earrings.
